How SECNET started & why...
“It’s your personal and business fun networking place” Now it's your turn to belong and have some fun with your very own networking organisation… This website, the forum you can join and networking group is for Secretaries, PA’s and Office Managers like you! It’s rewarding, it’s informative, timesaving and you can meet others at our regular events…When SECNET’s founder asked dozens of secretaries in the Bristol area what was available to them as a web source or networking club? They told him “nothing” – secretary and PA websites were just for London with only London hotels, London training and London events, combined with the fact that secretaries were not invited or part of the “Networking” scene.
Founder Rob McCabe (pictured above) set about changing this situation with a website that would enable them to locate “Localised” information to help them in their role as a key player & Influencer within their organisation and not only be appreciated but rewarded.
You also said networking and meeting new friends and business contacts was also an important requirement – Welcome to your very own Secretary Network where you can make new contacts and come to local exclusive events just for you, to do just that!
The seeds were sown, the idea hatched and in mid 2007 THE SECRETARY NETWORK was born with a very basic website and a host of ideas! Since then we have organised dozens of great fun events and developed even further over the United Kingdom.
