HOW SECNET STARTED & WHY

This is “Your personal and business fun-networking place”. It’s fun, it’s all about you, work and enjoying a life balance.

When SECNET’s founder asked dozens of secretaries in the Bristol area what was available to them as a web source or networking club? They told him “nothing” – secretary and PA websites were just for London with only London hotels, London training and London events, combined with the fact that secretaries were not invited or part of the “Networking” scene.

Founder Rob McCabe set about changing this situation with a website that would enable them to locate “Localised” information to help them in their role as a key player & Influencer within their organisation and not only be appreciated but rewarded.

You also said networking and meeting new friends and business contacts was also an important requirement – Welcome to your very own Secretary Network where you can come to local monthly events just for you, and do just that!The seeds were sown, the idea hatched and in mid 2007 THE SECRETARY NETWORK was born with a very basic website and a host of ideas!

Working with leading Bristol based web designer Andrew Talbot, this new re-styled website was under development for several months prior to the launch and we are very proud of what we have acheived.

As you can imagine it’s taken hours and hours of work to collate information, locate articles and relevant services in an effort to bring you a modern and worthwhile resource that will regularly be used and welcomed.
